HELPFUL TIPS FOR SHOWING YOUR HOME TO THE BEST ADVANTAGE:

First impressions are important. The first thing a prospective buyer sees is the outside of your home. Make sure grounds and walkways are clean & neat, mow the lawn, etc.

Once inside your home, the first thing a prospective buyer notices is cleanliness. Bathrooms, bedroom closets and kitchens are particularly important. Always keep in mind, your housekeeping does affect how price of your property is perceived.

When showing your home, be sure all drapes and blinds are open and hallway lighting is on. Good lighting has a positive effect on a buyer. The brighter your home is the better. A little maintenance goes a long way. Replace burned out light bulbs. Repair broken switches, leaking faucets, faulty doors, etc. If possible, use scented candles or bake cookies, cake etc. when home is being shown. Somehow, this makes a house feel more like a home.
